Fortuna Redux: The Myth, the Muse, the Mirror

A soul-centered reflection on choice, legacy, and the power of return.

Who Is Fortuna Redux?

In Roman mythology, Fortuna Redux was the goddess of safe returns and divine guidance.

Unlike her more chaotic counterpart (Fortuna, goddess of chance), Redux represents the conscious turning of the wheel—not toward what was handed to us, but toward what we choose to carry forward.

She is the guardian of chosen legacy.

The keeper of the spiral.

The patron of those brave enough to turn inward before they move forward.

Why Fortuna?

Because healing asks us to return.

Return to the self beneath the conditioning.

Return to the truths we buried to belong.

Return to what was always inside us before we were shaped by silence or shame.

Fortuna Redux reminds us that fate is not fixed. As Jung writes:

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”

Second Generation Therapy™ is built on this truth.

We don’t turn the wheel blindly—we turn it with soul.

She Is Our Muse

Fortuna Redux holds the spiral, the torch, and the anchor:

  • The spiral symbolizes inner knowing and chosen legacy.

  • The torch symbolizes illumination—bringing what was unconscious into light.

  • The anchor reminds us: we’re not lost. We’re returning.

She is not just myth.

She is metaphor.

She is not just symbol.

She is system repair.

This Is an Invitation

To notice what you've inherited.

To return with intention.

To choose again.

If you're reading this, the spiral has already begun.

Return is not regression—it is reclamation.
